Lana Rottler has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Lana started their career as a Camp Counselor at Monroe County YMCA in 2011 and later worked as a Lifeguard at University of Illinois Campus Recreation from 2013 to 2014. Lana also served as a Computer Lab Assistant at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Lana worked as a Concept Designer at LG Open Innovation Team, where they conducted market research and created 3D renderings for home appliances. Lana then joined Keefe Group as a Graphic Design Intern, assisting with the production of marketing materials, and later became a Graphic Designer.

From 2016 to 2020, Lana served as the St. Louis Chapter Visual Communications Chair at Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), where they were responsible for graphic design tasks and social media maintenance. During this time, they also worked at Presence From Innovation (PFI) as an Industrial Designer and later as a Senior Industrial Designer, managing design projects and improving customer communication.

From 2019 to 2021, Lana worked as a Product Developer at Victorinox, developing new products and conducting market research. Currently, they are working as a Design Researcher at Hecto Group™, supporting corporate and engineering teams in research and gathering user insights for product development.
