Kate Ball

Kate Ball has worked in the legal field since 2009. Kate began their career at Latham & Watkins LLP as an Attorney, where they gained experience in litigation and capital markets. In 2012, they relocated to Columbus, Ohio and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gregory L. Frost and the Honorable Michael H. Watson at the United States District Court. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as an Attorney at The Gillespie Law Group, Ltd., where they acted as outside general counsel to early-stage companies and advised regarding general corporate matters, employment, commercial contracts, financing, and exit transactions. Kate also built a database and web application for the firm's internal use. Currently, they are the Director of Legal Operations & Senior Counsel at Hedera.

Kate Ball completed their Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School in 2009. Prior to that, they attended Virginia Tech from 2002 to 2006. In 2022, they obtained a Certified Legal & Regulatory Blockchain Professional certification from the Blockchain Certification Association. Additionally, they are admitted to the Bar in Ohio (2013), District of Columbia (2010 - inactive), and Maryland (2009 - inactive).
