Philip Mortimer

Philip joins Heffernan Insurance Brokers with an extensive financial background that includes public accounting, internal audit, and business process and transformation. He began his public accounting career in Dublin, Ireland and held finance roles at Oracle across various European entities. In 2019, he relocated to San Francisco with BioMarin Pharmaceutical, a large public company, where he spent much of his time working with different teams to bring forth the best in financial performance. He took on the role of Director of Internal Audit, and later added data analytics to his responsibilities. Philip’s primary responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer include managing all financial and tax reporting functions, establishing, and maintaining relationships with financial service providers, and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and Accounting from Technological University Dublin and is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
