Christina Cary is a principal in Heidrick & Struggles’ Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Human Resources Officers and Technology & Services practices.
Christina’s search work focuses on functional roles in human resources including CHRO, CPO, divisional and regional heads of HR, and centers of excellence leaders in talent management, talent acquisition, learning and development, and total rewards for global public, private, and private-equity backed organizations.
She also assists in placing individuals at the CEO, COO, senior vice president, vice president, managing director, and partner levels across a variety of industries. Her experience spans the IT services & outsourcing, professional services, business & information services, industrial, financial services, education, and social impact sectors.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Christina worked in the private wealth management business of JPMorgan Chase, providing customized solutions including capital advisory, investment asset allocation, and trust and estate planning recommendations for individuals within the private equity, hedge fund, and trading spaces. She began pursuing her MBA during her early years at JPMorgan Chase.
Christina is a member of the Georgetown University board of governors and served as chair of the nominations committee for two years. She is a former president of Hoyas Unlimited, Georgetown’s annual fundraising arm for athletics that supports excellence across all the university’s 29 intercollegiate sports.

Christina earned an MBA with concentrations in economics and managerial and organizational behavior from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.

Michael Cullen is the current COO at [Heidrick & Struggles](/org/heidrick-struggles). Michael has held this position since December of 2008. Prior to their current role, they were the head of the Office of Executive Talent at EMC Corporation from May of 2000 to December of 2008. In this role, Michael was responsible for the recruitment of all senior executives across all business units and geographies. Michael worked closely with the CEO and their direct reports to develop recruitment plans and then implement those plans.

Before their time at EMC Corporation, Michael worked at The Madison Davis Group from January of 1996 to December of 2000 in their finance division.

Jonathan has over 25 years of experience in management consulting and executive search. Prior to joining [Heidrick & Struggles](/org/heidrick-struggles), Jonathan was a Partner with [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company), where they served clients in the chemicals, materials, and industrial sectors.

Jonathan began their career as an intern with the [U.S. House of Representatives](/org/u-s-house-of-representatives) before moving on to R&D and Marketing for Construction Chemicals at [BASF](/org/basf). In 1993, they joined [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company) as a Consultant, where they spent four years advising clients on strategy and operations.

Mark Harris is the current EVP and CFO of [Heidrick & Struggles](/org/heidrick-struggles). Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer of Hercules Capital, Inc. from January 2015 to December 2017. Before that, they were a Senior Portfolio Manager & Chief Financial Officer at Avenue Capital Group from January 2006 to December 2015. Harris has also held the position of Corporate Financial Controller at [Hutchison Telecoms](/org/hutchison-telecoms) from January 2004 to December 2006, and Vice President, Finance at VSource Pty Ltd from January 2001 to December 2004. Mark started their career at PwC in 1995, where they worked in the Global Capital Markets Group as a Manager until 2001.

Mark Harris has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Mark is also a Certified Public Accountant.

McBride is a former head of the Presidential Personnel Office in the Obama White House. He has also served as the global head of inclusion and diversity at BlackRock where he oversaw the operating committee and held other leadership roles. 

He joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2021 as a partner in the DE&I practice and chief human resources officers practice, based in Los Angeles. 

In his role leading the global DE&I practice, McBride and his team focus on advising boards, CEOs and leadership teams on various areas related to strengthening organisations' focus on their DE&I programs and enhancing workplace culture.

Cecilia Nelson-Hurt is Heidrick & Struggles’ chief diversity officer based in New York. She leads the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy and delivers long-term, sustainable programs and initiatives that build on our values and commitment to creating the most diverse and inclusive executive talent and leadership advisory firm in the industry.

Cecilia joined Heidrick & Struggles from L’Oréal USA, where she was vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion, responsible for shaping the company’s diversity and inclusion efforts. She also developed and facilitated its diversity and inclusion education programs and worked with the company’s employee-led think tanks to create and implement strategies and initiatives that positively impacted employee engagement, consumer insights and community outreach.

Before that, Cecilia was vice president of university relations and a diversity and campus relations officer at JPMorgan Chase, where she managed relationships with business and recruiting teams to create targeted events at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. She also developed and maintained relationships with multiple diversity-oriented organizations, including National Association of Colleges & Employers, Universum, and Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, increasing the number of diverse applicants for its entry-level and experienced hire recruiting programs.

Krishnan has over 18 years of experience in executive search, having led C-suite and Board level searches for global corporations across all industries, including private equity. He advises clients regularly on digital transformation, leadership, succession planning, governance, culture, and diversity and inclusion. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Krishnan led [Heidrick & Struggles](/org/heidrick-struggles)’ global Executive Search division and, before that, he led the firm’s Global Technology & Services practice. He has been recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential Executive Recruiters in the World” by Bloomberg Business Week.

Krishnan is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion and gender parity, both for the firm’s employees and for its clients. Recently, [Heidrick & Struggles](/org/heidrick-struggles) pledged that on an annual basis at least half of the Board candidates that are presented to clients in total over the course of the year will be diverse. As CEO of [Avanade](/org/avanade), a joint venture founded between Accenture LLP and Microsoft Corporation, Warby has a proven track record of success. Under his leadership, [Avanade](/org/avanade) has rotated its business to focus on cloud and digital, tripled its revenues, expanded its global footprint and grown to more than 36,000 professionals. Warby will step down from his role as CEO of [Avanade](/org/avanade) at the end of August.
