June Sass

June Sass has a diverse work experience in the field of research and healthcare. In 2018, they worked as an NSF REU Intern at the University of Massachusetts, where they contributed to the Lithobates Microbiome and designed protocols for amphibian bacterial growth. From 2020 to 2022, June served as a Lab Research Assistant at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, leading the anti-fungal resistance pilot project and collaborating with the CDC and Kaiser Permanente. June also gained experience as a Healthcare Worker at the Medical Reserve Corp. & Maxim Healthcare Group, conducting COVID-19 tests and training certified nurse's assistants. Currently, June is a Research Associate at Helaina, specializing in lab operations and upstream bioprocess.

June Sass completed their high school education at Concord Academy from 2012 to 2016, earning a high school diploma. June then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Public Health with a minor in Biology at The George Washington University from 2019 to 2022. June achieved a GPA of 3.75 during their undergraduate studies. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including In Spec R&D Training from R2DIO in January 2023, CITI Training from The George Washington University in June 2020, C-14 Certificate of Fitness FDNY Chemical Laboratory Handling & Storage from the New York City Fire Department in January 2023, and CPR/AED/First Aid from The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health in March 2022.
