Fred J. Perea

Fred J. Perea has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent role as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Helen of Troy where they led HR for over 700 associates in various teams and departments. Prior to that, they served as an Instructor for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Essentials of Human Resources Management at The University of Texas at El Paso. Fred J. also worked as the HR Manager at TFCU - El Paso, where they were responsible for overseeing all HR functions. Earlier in their career, they held positions as a District HR Manager at The Home Depot, a Human Resources Manager at El Paso County, and a Human Resources Manager at the El Paso Community Action Program, Project BRAVO, Inc.

Fred J. Perea holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from The University of Texas at El Paso, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from New Mexico State University, from 1999 to 2003. In addition, they have two professional certifications: SHRM Certified Professional from SHRM (obtained in 2015) and Professional in Human Resources from HRCI (obtained in 2011).
