Craig Shimala

Craig Shimala is an experienced professional in photography, videography, and multimedia. Currently serving as a Helicopter Camera Operator for U.S. HELICOPTERS, INC since December 2020, Craig captures breaking news across the Chicagoland area for major networks such as WGN, CBS, and FOX. As a Freelance Photographer, Videographer, and Timelapse Artist since August 2018, Craig offers a variety of visual services and showcases work on Instagram. Additionally, Craig serves as a backup Helicopter Photojournalist for NBCSky5 since October 2018. Prior to these roles, Craig gained extensive experience at Threadless from January 2004 to August 2018, where responsibilities included Social Media Manager, Creative Director, and Multimedia Specialist. Craig holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics Technology from Purdue University, earned between 1998 and 2002.
