Ahmed Sherif has a strong background in research and development engineering. Ahmed started their career in 2012 as a Steering System Designer for AUMOTORSPORTS Team in the SAE Formula Student Germany Competition. In 2013, they became a Manufacturing Team Member for the Alexandria University Team in the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia Competition. In 2014, Ahmed co-founded AquaPhoton and served as the Chief Technology Officer until 2020. Ahmed then joined the Zienkiewicz Centre for Computational Engineering as a Summer Research Intern in 2017. In 2018, they became an Early Stage Researcher at ProTechTion, where they focused on developing numerical schemes for multi-fluid flows. Currently, Ahmed works as a Research and Development Engineer at HelioRec since 2023. Overall, their experience spans various industries and roles, showcasing their expertise in engineering and research.
Ahmed Sherif began their education in 2009 at Alexandria University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electromechanical Engineering. Ahmed completed this program in 2014.
Afterward, in 2016, Ahmed attended Swansea University to further their studies, enrolling in the Master of Science program in Computational Mechanics. Ahmed completed this degree in 2017.
Following their time at Swansea University, Ahmed joined Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya for the academic year 2017-2018, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computational Mechanics.
Subsequently, in 2018, Ahmed simultaneously enrolled in two programs: one at Ecole centrale de Nantes and the other at Instituto Superior Técnico. At Ecole centrale de Nantes, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mécanique des Milieux Fluides. Similarly, at Instituto Superior Técnico, they pursued a PhD degree in Computational Engineering. Both of these programs are expected to be completed in 2023.
Additionally, in 2013, Ahmed obtained the Solidworks Certified Associate - Mechanical Design certification. The institution through which they obtained this certification is unknown.
