Shiv Govindan

Shiv Govindan has a long and varied work experience in the financial industry. Shiv began their career in 1994 as an Associate in the Fixed Income Derivatives group at Bankers Trust. From 1996 to 1998, they were a Product Specialist in market risk management and Director of Corporate Development for IQ Financial Systems, a portfolio company of BT Ventures. From 2000 to 2004, they were a Principal at Beehive Ventures, a venture firm focused on investments in early stage companies. From 2004 to 2015, they were President of Resource Financial Institutions Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Resource America, Inc. Since 2015, they have been a Chairperson of Symbiont.io, which is building the first issuance and trading platform for smart securities on blockchain technology. Since 2017, they have been the Chief Executive Officer of The Helios Companies, LLC, which provides software compliance solutions to financial institutions companies to enhance their BSA/AML capabilities.

Shiv Govindan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
