Sashika Makandura

Sashika Makandura has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple companies and roles. They began their career in 2006 as an Engineering Intern-Volunteer at Nikini Group of Companies. In 2008, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at FG Wison Engineering Ltd., a division of Caterpillar Inc., where they contributed to cost savings and prevented coolant leakage. They then joined Diesel and Motor Engineering PLC as a Product Engineer in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Quality Engineer at KEE Group Inc., where they led product quality and dimensional analysis. They also designed capacitive switch circuits in reverse engineering projects. From 2012 to 2017, they served as a Product Development Engineer at Cosasco, where they coordinated with cross-functional teams, developed product specifications, and designed various components. Currently, Sashika is working at HELLA as the Head of Design and Development for Electric Power Steering and Car Access, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Lead Design Engineer at HELLA, and before that, they held the position of Senior Concept Design Engineer. Overall, Sashika's work experience showcases their expertise in design, development, quality assurance, and project coordination.

Sashika Makandura completed their education in a chronological manner. Sashika attended Royal College Colombo from 1994 to 2002, where they obtained a high school degree in the field of Advanced Level - Mathematics Stream. Afterward, from 2004 to 2008, Sashika pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they attended California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they achieved a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
