Siqi Mou

Founder & CEO at HelloAva

Siqi Mou has since a young age been an avid beauty enthusiast, but has long taken issue with the way skincare products are marketed and consumed. The industry is woefully opaque, and many consumers cannot correctly identify their skin types or differentiate among products. HelloAva is Siqi’s technology-driven, personalized solution to the beauty industry’s shortcomings.

Before founding HelloAva, Siqi was a financial news anchor at Bloomberg TV, where she curated and broadcasted market news to a global audience. She has also worked at PIMCO on macro investment; the Federal Reserve on capital market regulation; and Morgan Stanley on institutional sales and portfolio construction with major central banks and sovereign wealth funds.

Siqi received her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business; MPA from Harvard Kennedy School (Lawrence Summers was her thesis advisor); and BA in economics from Stanford University (elected Phi Beta Kappa).

Siqi is a concert pianist, playing and performing for over 20 years, and for four years serving as the Stanford Symphony Orchestra’s principal pianist. Siqi currently volunteers as a music ambassador for Carnegie Hall.
