Emily Zak has been working in the fashion industry since 2001. Emily started as an Editorial Associate at Vanity Fair in New York, then moved to Condé Nast in 2005 as an Executive Retail Editor for Vogue. In 2010, they were promoted to Executive Fashion Director for Vogue Condé Nast Britain. In 2013, they joined NET-A-PORTER as Executive Fashion Director, part of the founding team from the launch of their glossy e-commerce editorial publication. In 2018, they were promoted to Vogue Global Head of Fashion Shows, leading the optimization of audience engagement across 26 digital Vogue sites. In 2020, Emily founded their own innovation consultancy, working with start-up strategy and legacy brands in the luxury space. In 2021, they joined BODS as Strategic Partnerships, working with AI fit tech powered technology, and Seer as Growth Partner and Strategic Partnerships, with Y-Combinator alumnae. Emily also joined Queen of Raw as Global Brand Strategy, working with MIT Solve, UN and Ellen MacArthur Foundation partner on blockchain-powered enterprise solutions for textile waste.

Emily Zak's education history includes a Master of Arts with Distinction from Goldsmiths College, University of London in Ubiquitous Computing, Wearable Technology, and Media (2003-2004). Emily also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Performance and Fine Art (1996-1998). Finally, they attended Rhode Island School of Design for Fine Art and Studio Art (1995-1996).
