Jared Owens

Jared Owens has extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, currently serving as Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Helmer Scientific since August 2005. In this role, Jared leads a team focused on enhancing production efficiency by addressing bottlenecks and defects, while developing a culture of continuous improvement through tools and training in Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Prior roles at Helmer Scientific include Continuous Improvement Specialist and Product Support Engineer, where Jared promoted cross-functional teamwork and implemented problem-solving strategies. Earlier experience as a Foreman at David Smith Custom Painting involved job site management and customer relations. Jared holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration and Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and an Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Design Technology from Ivy Tech Community College, along with ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
