Ute Chambers

Ute Chambers is an experienced professional in the field of entomology and integrated pest management. Currently serving as Fundraising Manager at Helmholtz Zentrum München since July 2019, Ute has previously held various roles at Washington State University from September 2009 to December 2019, including Consultant for the WSU Decision Aid System and WSU Tree Fruit Decision Aid System Educator/Manager & Research Associate. Contributions during this time involved management and development of decision support systems, stakeholder education, and involvement in climate change projects. Earlier experience includes a Research Associate position at Oregon State University focused on IPM strategies for insect pests in hazelnuts and a PhD from ETH Zurich, where Ute conducted significant research on the codling moth. Ute holds a Master of Science degree from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, specializing in ecology and environmental sciences.
