Jarno Hartikainen

Jarno Hartikainen serves as the EU Correspondent for Helsingin Sanomat since May 2016, focusing on European Union matters and previously covering economics and politics with an emphasis on energy and climate policy. Prior to this role, Jarno worked as a journalist for Kauppalehti from June 2010 to April 2016, where responsibilities included reporting on economic policy and labor markets, as well as serving as an EU Correspondent addressing various EU policy topics. Earlier experience includes journalism positions at Savon Sanomat and Uutis-Jousi, and a role at Ruotuväki. Jarno holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Jyväskylä and further education from Stockholm University.
