Laura Saarikoski has an extensive work experience in the field of journalism. Laura started their career at Helsingin Sanomat in 1995 as a Metro reporter and later worked as a US stringer in Washington DC. Laura also held various roles at Helsingin Sanomat, including Sunday Editor, Features Editor, and US Correspondent. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Managing Editor for News. Currently, they are the Editor in Chief, Premium at Helsingin Sanomat. In addition, they worked as a Visiting fellow at the University of Oxford's Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism from 2011 to 2012.
