Agnes Montangero

Agnes Montangero has extensive work experience in the field of water, sanitation, and rural infrastructure. Agnes is currently working as an Independent Consultant in WASH and Rural Infrastructure since 2021. Prior to this, Agnes worked at Helvetas from 2010 to 2021, where they held various roles including Lead Strategic Partnerships for Rural Access and Team Leader for Water & Infrastructure. Before joining Helvetas, they worked as a Water and Environmental Sanitation Specialist at Skat Consulting Ltd. from 2007 to 2010. Agnes began their career at Eawag in 1998, where they held multiple roles as a Program Officer, Researcher, Scientific Assistant, and Lecturer until 2007.

Agnes Montangero has a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from ETH Zürich, which they obtained between 1993 and 1998. Agnes further pursued their studies at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from 2004 to 2007. In 2021 and 2022, Agnes Montangero attended ETH Zürich once again and completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Entrepreneurial Leadership in Technology Ventures.
