Michelle D. has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Michelle started their career as an HR Assistant/Recruiter at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where they were responsible for handling transcripts, assisting customers, and training new employees. Michelle then worked as a Graduate Assistantship-Operations Manager, overseeing events, supervising building usage, and maintaining equipment.

Following this, Michelle joined Nuveen as a Human Resources Coordinator, where they managed personnel functions, participated in the recruitment process, and provided guidance on HR procedures and policies. Michelle subsequently served as a Global Human Resources Generalist at Circassia, where they were involved in recruitment efforts, onboarding processes, and employee orientation.

Michelle also worked at ShipBob, Inc. as the Head of Human Resources and Recruiting, where they supported the company's repositioning by recruiting technical professionals and management staff for multiple locations. At Grassroots Cannabis, they held two roles, starting as a Senior Human Resource Analyst and later becoming the Human Resources Manager-Corporate and Cultivations. In this position, they transformed HR into a strategic business partner, oversaw the budget, and managed a staff of two.

Currently, Michelle is the Human Resources Director at Hematogenix, responsible for HR operations in the US and international operations. Michelle collaborates with other directors and senior executives to develop new business initiatives, promote employee engagement, and mobilize talent.
