CFO and Co-Founder at Hemovent GmbH

Christof Lenz has extensive experience in various roles within the medical and technology sectors. Christof is currently serving as the CFO and Co-Founder of Hemovent GmbH, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of Hemovent GmbH from May 2014 to October 2022.

Before their involvement with Hemovent GmbH, Christof worked as the Executive Director of doctorfish medtech ventures starting in April 2012.

In 2015, they co-founded ReinHeart TAH GmbH, a company focused on developing a Total Artificial Heart for patients with terminal heart failure. Christof served as the CEO and Co-Founder of ReinHeart from May 2015 to November 2017.

Christof also held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Cardiola AG from January 2007 to March 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Global Innovation Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions from April 2005 to December 2006.

Additionally, they gained experience as a Partner at BayTech Venture Capital from January 2001 to April 2005. Before that, they served as the Director B2B at Atrada Trading Network from August 1999 to December 2000. During their time at Atrada, the company was acquired by T-Online (Deutsche Telekom).

Christof Lenz started their career as the European Operations Manager at Elo TouchSystems from August 1997 to August 1999. Christof was responsible for managing European operations for the leading manufacturer in TouchScreens and TouchMonitors.

Their first roles in the medical field began as the Sales and Product Manager at Summit Medical from October 1996 to August 1997, followed by a position as a Sales Manager at PLC Medical from January 1996 to December 1996.

Christof Lenz began their education journey in 1983 at the University of Regensburg, where they pursued a field of study in Medicine. Christof successfully completed the program in 1985, earning a degree in cand. med. Following this, from 1985 to 1989, Lenz enrolled at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in Medicine once again. Christof achieved a State Exam degree in Medicine during their time there. Continuing their educational pursuits, Lenz attended the Technical University of Munich again from 1989 to 1991, this time focusing on Electrical Engineering. Christof completed the program and obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Their education culminated with enrollment at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 1991 to 1995, where they furthered their studies in Electrical Engineering, ultimately earning an MA Sc. degree.
