Liz Groff

Liz Groff, SHRM-CP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Liz began their career in 2007 as a SPECIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR at Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, where they handled various projects. Liz then served as a Legislative Assistant and later as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT, responsible for job postings and screening.

In 2012, Liz worked as an Independent HR Consultant at Stonyhill Consulting, providing personalized consulting services to companies and individuals on HR matters such as recruiting, resume reviews, policy drafting, and research.

Liz joined HR as an HR Assistant in 2016, where they managed daily employee needs and addressed customer questions. Liz handled confidential employee and company information, demonstrating trustworthiness.

From 2017 to 2018, Liz served as an HR Administrator at a confidential company, leading the development and implementation of a Training Department. Liz also handled hiring, onboarding, and employee relations at three external client sites.

In 2018, they took on the role of Hiring Manager at Penn State University, where they developed and implemented a new Part Time Hiring strategy and partnered with units throughout Professional And Community Engagement to ensure smooth onboarding.

Following their tenure at Penn State, Liz served as a Human Resources Coordinator at State College Borough Water Authority from 2020 to 2022, where they managed HR coordination responsibilities.

Currently, Liz holds the position of Human Resources Generalist at Hempfield School District, where they utilize their diverse HR knowledge and skills.

Liz Groff, SHRM-CP has demonstrated a strong commitment to the field of human resources and has gained valuable experience in various HR roles throughout their career.

Liz Groff, SHRM-CP, has a strong educational background in various fields. Liz obtained a Certificate in Labor Studies from Penn State World Campus from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management at American University from 2005 to 2007. Liz Groff completed their Bachelor's degree in History at Alfred University from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their academic achievements, Liz Groff has also earned the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM-Certification in February 2018.
