Mert Sasoglu, PhD, serves as the Global Head of R&D for the Packaging Center of Excellence at Henkel Consumer Brands and Beauty Category since February 2022, while also holding the role of Global Head and Director of R&D, Packaging and Sustainability for Henkel Beauty. In addition to this, Mert is the Founder and President of Uconnectpro, a packaging services consultancy in the USA established in April 2018, focusing on business development and strategic partnerships. Previous experience includes positions as Associate Director of R&D Packaging Development and Sustainability at Johnson & Johnson in Singapore, and Global Head of Package Development at Hayat Kimya in Istanbul. Mert began a career in packaging at Procter & Gamble, advancing from R&D Manager to Group Head, leading multiple innovative packaging initiatives across global markets. Mert holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from DU, and master's and bachelor's degrees in the same field from TTU and Middle East Technical University, respectively.
