Betty Faust is an esteemed academic and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of ethnoecology and cultural anthropology. Currently serving as an Honorary Researcher at the Centro de Investigacion Cientifica de Yucatan since October 2011, Betty Faust focuses on grant writing, publication, and research collaboration while also teaching ethnographic methods. As a Visiting Scholar at the Huntington Library since December 2009, research has centered on historical plant medicines and related colonial law cases. Additionally, Betty Faust holds a position as an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Syracuse College of Environmental Science and Forestry, providing cultural insights to students' projects and having previously taught courses on Cultural Ecology. Past roles include Visiting Scholar at UC San Diego and Senior Researcher at CINVESTAV-Merida, where Betty Faust coordinated graduate programs and taught advanced courses. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology and an MPA from Syracuse University.
