Rich Torres

Rich Torres is a seasoned freelance writer with extensive experience in high school sports journalism. Currently contributing to the IHSAA and The Indianapolis Star since November 2022 and March 2018, respectively, Torres has consistently produced engaging and timely sports features, profiles, and game stories. Additional freelance roles include writing for The Herald Bulletin, Hamilton County Reporter, and various other publications, demonstrating a strong ability to deliver high-quality content under deadline pressure. Notably, as Sports Editor at Greenfield Daily Reporter, Torres garnered recognition for exceptional content management and sports writing. An alumnus of Ball State University, Torres holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and secondary education, further complemented by minors in philosophy and journalism.
