Mark Peters is a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills, specializing in state taxes and trusts within the tax team. Recognized as the Tax Institute’s emerging star of the year, Mark actively contributes as a member of the NSW State Taxes Committee, engaging with Revenue NSW on law reform. Previous roles include Tipstaff to a Judge of the New South Wales Court of Appeal and casual academic at the University of Newcastle Law School. Mark's educational credentials include a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Newcastle, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia. Mark is currently pursuing a Master of Laws in Tax Law at the University of Sydney.
