Shannon Carson, SPHR has extensive experience in various HR roles. Shannon started their career in 2000 as an Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks, where they gained experience in managing store operations and leading a team. In 2005, they joined Heritage Bank NW as a Financial Services Associate, where they provided exceptional customer service and identified banking solutions for clients. Shannon then transitioned into HR roles at Heritage Bank NW, starting as a Human Resources Business Partner in 2010. In this role, they collaborated with business leaders to develop HR programs and initiatives that drove employee engagement and organizational growth. Shannon later became an HRIS Officer, responsible for improving HR processes and data integrity. In 2018, they were promoted to Vice President, HR Operations and Insights, where they led a team in maintaining and analyzing HR data to support department and corporate initiatives. Currently, Shannon holds the position of Senior Vice President, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS at Heritage Bank NW, where they oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation, benefits, and HR information systems programs. Shannon partners with internal stakeholders to enhance data analytics capabilities and optimize people analytics across the organization.
Shannon Carson, SPHR, has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Washington State University, which was obtained between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, Shannon Carson earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from Grays Harbor College between 2000 and 2003. In addition to their education, Shannon Carson holds the certification of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, which was obtained in November 2015.
