Structures Engineer at Hermeus

Michael Junker has a varied work experience, beginning with a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation in 2015. Michael then held a Research Fellow position at the University of Notre Dame in 2016 and a Data Acquisition role at Baja SAE Notre Dame. In the same year, they were a Design Engineering Intern at Rolls-Royce. In 2017, they worked at Ford Motor Company as a Transmission and Driveline Engineering Intern and University of Notre Dame as a Resident Assistant. From 2018 to 2022, they were an Aerospace Engineer at Boeing. Most recently, they have been a Structures Engineer at Hermeus since 2022.

Michael Junker attended Veritas Preparatory Academy from 2010 to 2014. Michael then earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2018. In 2019, they began a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering at the University of Southern California, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In January 2020, they obtained a Material Review Board (MRB) Certified Engineer certification from Boeing.
