Rachit J

Rachit J has extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing in various industries. Rachit started their career at Whirlpool Corporation, where they were responsible for cost negotiations and vendor development for commodity and component suppliers. Rachit then moved on to GE, where they served as a Global Commodity Manager, overseeing the procurement and quality of raw materials such as steel, copper, aluminum, paints, and chemicals. Rachit then joined Maruti Suzuki India Limited as a Strategic Procurement Manager, handling the procurement and supply chain management for transmission systems and commodities. After that, they worked at Philips as a General Manager, leading strategic procurement, outsourcing operations, and commodity management for different business verticals in India. Currently, Rachit is employed at Hero Motors as a Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, where they are responsible for driving cost leadership and leading strategic procurement, sourcing, and supply chain for seven companies in the group.

Rachit J began their education at Air Force School in 1988 and completed their schooling in 1997. Rachit then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, graduating in the year 2001.
