Jay Bishtawi

Jay Bishtawi has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Jay is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at HeroDevs. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Enterprise Software Engineer at Briebug, where they played a key role in developing enterprise software solutions.

Before that, Jay worked at SemanticBits as a Principal Software Engineer, contributing to the development of the Quality Payment Program (QPP) Submission and Feedback UI (SFUI) using Angular and Reactive libraries. Jay also played a vital role in increasing SFUI code coverage and introducing end-to-end (e2e) tests.

In their previous position at DHI Group, Inc., Jay was a Senior Software Engineer responsible for creating the next generation of Talent Search. Using Angular, Bootstrap 4, and Reactive libraries, they developed the front-end and maintained high code coverage for the application.

Jay also gained valuable experience at Thomson Reuters, where they were involved in releasing Westlaw CaseLogistix 6.0 and writing Thomson Reuters eDiscovery Point. Jay Bishtawi attended Pierce College from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained an AA degree in Information Technology. Jay then pursued further education at the University of Phoenix from 2001 to 2003, earning a BS degree in Information Technology. In addition to their formal education, Jay Bishtawi has also obtained certifications. In October 2008, they received the MCPD: Enterprise Application Developer certification from Microsoft. Most recently, in November 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
