Jake Lebovits

Mechanical Engineer L Hardware Engineering at Hero

Jake Lebovits has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2015, they worked as an Engineering Intern at MG Engineering D.P.C, where they assisted with designing mechanical ductwork and beam drawings. Jake also shadowed a Professional Mechanical Engineer mentor. In 2016, they interned at Aerobo, where they modeled, manufactured, and assembled drones used in filming jobs and designed a propeller guard. Jake then worked as a Mechanical Engineer at VirtualAPT Corp, where they created custom mechanical designs for cameras and electronic housings and developed a modified drive train for an autonomous robot. At SPECTRA Audio Design Group in 2017, they produced bill of materials and designed engineering schematics for Audio Visual projects. Jake joined Watermark Designs, Ltd. in 2018 as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Then, at Rocean from 2019 to 2020, they led design and engineering efforts for the carbonation subsystem of a consumer beverage device, including cost reducing. Currently, they are employed at Hero as a Mechanical Engineer in Hardware Engineering.

Jake Lebovits completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their degree, Jake has obtained several certifications. Jake completed Arena Basic Functional User Training, Arena Administrator Training, and Quality Management System Training from Arena, a PTC Business, in June 2021. Furthermore, they received an Injection Molding Bootcamp Certificate from the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute in February 2021.
