Muhammad Umer Qureshi

Muhammad Umer Qureshi is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in power electronics and energy systems. Currently serving as the Lead Applications Engineer at Heron Power since August 2025, Muhammad focuses on building megawatt-scale power electronics solutions. Prior roles include Senior Director of Systems and Service Engineering at SkyElectric Pvt. Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed the development of advanced energy storage systems, product strategy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. Muhammad also contributed to Tesla as a Senior Product Engineer, achieving significant reductions in hardware failures and customer escalations. Earlier positions include a Power Systems Research and Application Engineer at Sentient Energy, a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Design Engineer at the Center for Advanced Research in Engineering. Academic credentials include a PhD and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology.
