Benjamin Klahr

Benjamin Klahr is an experienced associate at Herren Associates, serving as the Technical Advisor to the Department of Navy's Director of Operational Energy since July 2019. Prior to this, Klahr worked as a Research Analyst at CNA Corporation, where statistical and big-data techniques were utilized to assess aircraft flight data and identify pilot health issue causes. Klahr has also contributed as a Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy, performed postdoctoral research at Northwestern University focusing on solar cell modeling, and conducted graduate research at Michigan State University on solar water splitting materials. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry / Materials Science from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Shippensburg University.
