David Vela-Minera

David Vela-Minera, MBA has over 20 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting. David is currently serving as the Director of Consolidations & Reporting at Hersha Hospitality Management, where they oversee the preparation of financial statements and related footnotes for joint ventures and the corporate entity. David implemented a monthly consolidated financial statements process, incorporating new business combinations such as White Lodging and URGO Hotels.

Prior to their current role, David worked at Harsco Corporation as the Consolidation & Financial Reporting Senior Manager. In this position, they managed the Hyperion reporting application and consolidated financial statements of over 100 global reporting units on a monthly basis. David prepared and reviewed monthly financial statements for SEC Reporting and provided analysis and reporting processes for internal management reports.

Before their time at Harsco Corporation, David was the Corporate Accounting & Consolidations Manager at UniTek Global Services. David was responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, consolidation, analysis, and reporting processes. David prepared and reviewed monthly financial statements for twelve entities.

Earlier in their career, David held the role of Latin American Accounting Manager at PPL Corporation, where they led budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. David also worked as a Hotel Controller at Hilton Worldwide.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated a strong expertise in financial accounting, consolidation, reporting, and analysis. David has a comprehensive understanding of financial systems and tools such as Hyperion and has successfully managed the financial statements and reporting processes for various companies.

David Vela-Minera, MBA obtained their Master's degree in Accounting from The University of Sheffield from 2000 to 2003.
