Emma Hickerson

Emma Hickerson is a Research Associate at Heyman Associates since May 2023, with a strong background in academia and research. Previously, Emma served as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Richmond from January 2020 to May 2023, where responsibilities included teaching Introduction to Psychology lab sections, supporting student success, and collaborating on curriculum design. Emma also contributed as a Student Researcher in Dr. Kristjen Lundberg’s Social Psychology lab, and as a Peer Advising Associate, guiding incoming first-year students through academic transitions. Additionally, Emma gained experience as a Research Assistant Intern at American Institutes for Research, focusing on international education statistics, and as an Administrative Assistant at Forward Together Counseling, managing client relations and financial analyses. Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Richmond.
