Rachel Dowse has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Rachel began their career as a Risk Consultant at Federated Insurance, where they helped businesses implement risk management practices to reduce the risk of injury and loss. Rachel then transitioned into education, working as a 7th Grade Math Teacher at Metro Nashville Public Schools.
Rachel's passion for helping individuals with developmental differences led their to roles in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Rachel worked as a Behavior Therapist at Autism & Behavior Consulting Services, LLC, where they implemented ABA programs and provided coaching to staff, teachers, and parents. Rachel later became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Behavioral Progression, Inc., specializing in behavior analysis for clients with developmental differences.
Rachel expanded their impact by working as a Customer Success & Advisor at Goally, a technology company that provides electronic visual schedules and behavior tracking devices for individuals with developmental differences. Rachel championed ABA techniques, advised on product features, and focused on minimizing customers' reliance on Goally through progression and prompt-fading programs.
Rachel's expertise in the field of developmental differences continued to grow as they joined Acorn Health as a Clinical Supervisor, overseeing clinical operations and providing guidance in delivering evidence-based therapies.
Most recently, Rachel held a leadership position at Hi Rasmus as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) & Advocate for 1 Million Kids. Hi Rasmus is a Danish technology platform that aims to reduce barriers to quality therapies for individuals with developmental disorders. Rachel helped manage treatment plans, facilitate communication between therapists and caregivers, and ensure the maintenance of human touch and professionalism in treatment.
Throughout their career, Rachel Dowse has displayed a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with developmental differences through education, behavior analysis, and technology.
Rachel Dowse completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management at Grove City College from 2004 to 2008. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis at Arizona State University, completing it from 2014 to 2015. In terms of additional certifications, Rachel obtained the Associate in Risk Management (ARM-P) certification from The Institutes in 2010. Rachel also became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) in November 2015. Additionally, they hold a license as a Behavior Analyst, granted by the State of Tennessee.
