Laura Weiss

Laura Weiss is a Program Manager at HIAS since May 2017. Prior to this role, Laura worked as a Migrant Education Liaison Specialist at Omaha Public Schools and as the Founder of Root Down Community Gardens. Laura also served as an American Ambassador at AmeriCan Adventures and as Education and Outreach Coordinator at Refugee Empowerment Center. Laura previously held the position of Head Foreign English Instructor at Avalon English. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and International Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
