Muluemebet Hunegnaw

Muluemebet Chekol Hunegnaw currently serves as the Chief Transformation Officer at HIAS, where responsibilities include driving organizational change and implementing strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s 2030 Ambitions. Previous roles at HIAS include Chief Strategy and Measurement Officer and Senior Director of Monitoring and Evaluation for Global Programs, focusing on strategic planning and improving accountability for program impact. Prior experience spans over 17 years at Save the Children US, emphasizing monitoring, evaluation, and strategic management across various roles, including leadership in the Africa Region. Earlier in a career at USAID and the Ministry of Mines and Energy, significant contributions were made in developing multi-sectoral monitoring systems and energy policy frameworks. Muluemebet holds a Yale World Fellow designation, a Master’s in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia, and a Bachelor's in Economics from Addis Ababa University.
