Nicholas Collette

Nicholas Collette has over 20 years of work experience in the scientific and biotechnology fields. In 2000, they began working as a G.S-level 07 at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). While at NIEHS, they assisted scientists in developing and optimizing experimental protocols within the Laboratory of Pulmonary Pathobiology. In 2001, they moved to Monsanto Company, where they worked as a Research Associate/Supervisor. Nicholas was responsible for supervising and developing employees responsible for executing pipeline activities for Arabidopsis thaliana, corn, and soybean plants. In 2003, they took a position at BD as a Research Technician, where they assisted scientists with the development and optimization of experiments within the Formulations and Drug Discovery Group. In 2005, they began working at Grifols as a Senior Associate Scientist, where they managed, prioritized and completed projects for preclinical, clinical, stability, and product release samples requested for analytical testing by internal customers. In 2012, they became a Consultant at Sequence Inc., where they provided laboratory compliance services, including risk assessments, instrumentation qualification, method development, and validation activities. In 2014, they began working at North Carolina State University as a Comparative Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student, M.S. Nicholas'sthesis project evaluated alkylamides extracted from Echinacea purpurea and their effect on mast cells. In 2018, they became a Drug Discovery Scientist at Pfizer. Finally, in 2020, they began their current role as a Research Scientist at HiberCell.

Nicholas Collette attended North Carolina State University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, General. Nicholas then returned to North Carolina State University from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Master of Science in Comparative Biomedical Sciences (Immunology).
