Richard Svahn

Richard Svahn has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Richard is currently working at HID Global as the Director APMO & Product Owners, where they lead the Agile Program Management Office and Product Owner Team. Their responsibilities include guiding the development and implementation of a value-centric program approach using SAFe framework, and accelerating the flow of value across products and services.

Prior to HID Global, Richard Svahn was the Director Product Owner Team, PACS at the same company. In this role, they led a worldwide team of Product Owners and operated within the SAFe Lean-Agile framework. Their responsibilities included establishing objectives, conducting performance evaluations, leading recruitment efforts, mapping out career growth strategies, facilitating team discussions, and guiding the PACS Product Owners Community of Practice. Richard was also involved in various organizational development projects and the M365 Champion program.

Before joining HID Global, Richard Svahn served as the Vice President & Board Member at PMI Sweden chapter. Richard also worked at FRA - Försvarets radioanstalt, where they held multiple roles including Way of working transformation leader, Manager Project Management (PMO) & Change Management, Deputy Director Technical Coordination Office, and Project Manager. Their responsibilities included leading implementation of new technical capabilities, redesigning processes and routines, and managing military classified hardware development projects.

Richard Svahn was also a part of SMS Smart Media Solutions, where they held roles such as Director Product & Project Management (PMO) & Deputy CEO, and Manager Purchasing, Supply chain & Product Development. Their responsibilities included leading the process from idea to launched product, managing the product portfolio, launch strategies, pricing, and product communication with key B2B customers.

Richard was involved in the start-up of Evoko and Dispio AB, providing advisory roles and co-project management during the initial stages of these companies.

Earlier in their career, Richard Svahn worked at Apply Emtunga AB and Southco, Inc. in various roles related to manufacturing, customer service, and internships. Richard also worked on an exam project at EKA Knives, where they designed and constructed a consumer box for the knife product range.
