Boris Buchtala

Boris Buchtala is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research, development, and innovation management. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Business and Venture Intelligence at Bosch Research since January 2006, Boris has spearheaded initiatives to integrate both external and internal innovations into business, fostering partnerships between Bosch Corporate Research and startups. In addition to this role, Boris holds positions such as Director of Open Bosch Research and Director of New Business, focusing on strategic project portfolios and technological breakthroughs. Boris also serves as a member of the Investment Committee at HTGF, contributing expertise in industrial technology. With a foundational background as a Research and Development Engineer at Bosch and earlier research work at Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., Boris holds a Ph.D. in Rotary Wing Aerodynamics and an Engineer's degree in Aerospace Technology from the University of Stuttgart.
