Akash Islam

Akash Islam is a finance professional with extensive experience in the hospitality sector. Currently serving as the Director of Finance at Highgate since November 2024, Akash previously held roles at Starwood Capital Group as a Senior Fund Accountant and Fund Accountant from January 2022 to November 2024. Prior to these positions, Akash was with Highgate as the Assistant Director Of Finance and Chief Accountant from August 2019 to January 2022. Akash began a career in finance at The Chatwal NY as an Assistant Accounting Manager from July 2015 to August 2019 and earlier worked as a Staff Accountant at Dream Hotel Group. Akash holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Zicklin School of Business, expected to be completed in December 2024, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from York College of the City University of New York.
