Whitney Perkins Witt

Whitney Perkins Witt, PhD, MPH has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of health and healthcare. Whitney is currently working as the Vice President of Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) at Highmark Health since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President at NORC at the University of Chicago from 2022 to 2022. At Lehigh University, Whitney held multiple roles including Professor at the College of Health from 2019 to 2022 and also served as the Inaugural Dean of the College of Health from 2019 to 2020.

Whitney held leadership positions at the American Public Health Association, where they served as the Chair of the Maternal and Child Health Section from 2018 to 2020 and as the Chair-Elect of the Maternal and Child Health Section from 2016 to 2018. Whitney Perkins Witt, PhD, MPH has an extensive education history. Whitney pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Women's Studies from Hampshire College from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they attended the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Women's Health from 1995 to 1997.

Whitney furthered their education at the same institution and completed their PhD in outcomes and quality from 1998 to 2001. Whitney then attended Harvard Medical School, where they completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Health Services Research from 2001 to 2003. Whitney also pursued a Postgraduate Degree in the same field and at the same institution during the same time period.
