John Steele has a diverse work experience in the marketing and communications field. John began their career as a Contributing Writer for Philadelphia Weekly in 2006. From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Communications Director for Solar States, managing the company's blog, website, and social media channels. In 2008, they also started working as a News Editor for Issue Media Group, where they compiled and wrote articles on innovation and job news. John continued their role at Issue Media Group as a Contributing Writer/News Editor for KeystoneEdge.com and FlyingKiteMedia.com from 2008 to 2010.

In 2011, Steele joined WebiMax.com as a Content Writer and Web Editor, where they created content strategies for clients, wrote daily articles and blog posts, and managed social media engagements.
