Chris Briggs

VP Engineering at Hilco Global

Chris Briggs has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Chris began their career in 1986 as an Aerospace Engineering Officer in the Department of National Defence, where they served in various locations across Canada and Germany. Chris retired as a Captain after working as the engineering officer Integrated Logistic Support prime, responsible for improving maintenance and inspection programs for all military helicopter fleets.

After their military service, Chris transitioned into the corporate sector, starting with Nortel Networks in 1996. Chris held various roles at Nortel, including Team Leader of the Global Project Support Tools Development Team.

In 2002, Chris joined Nortel as the Media Gateway Product Line Strategy Prime, a role in which they strategically managed the media gateway product line. During their time at Nortel, they also served as a Director of Product Line Management for Media Gateways and Border Control, as well as a Senior Product Line Manager for S3 Session Border Controller.

Chris continued their career at Rockstar Consortium in 2012, where they served as a Senior Program Manager. Afterward, they joined Marquis Technologies in 2015 as the Vice President of Engineering, overseeing engineering operations until 2016.

Most recently, Chris held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Hilco IP Merchant Banking, LLC starting in 2016. Their extensive experience and leadership in engineering roles make him a valuable asset to any organization.

Chris Briggs attended the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering and Management.
