Rita Urbanek has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rita started their career as a Law Office Intern at BRINDISI, MURAD, BRINDISI, PEARLMAN, JULIAN & PERTZ, LLP, where they handled case evaluation, legal drafting, and database development. Rita then joined Guthrie Health System as an Administrative Intern, where they designed a survey tool to identify patient priorities for service excellence. Rita later became an Administrative Fellow at Guthrie, leading various projects and receiving training in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Rita then held roles as Program Manager, Patient Safety and Senior Director of Quality, overseeing patient safety initiatives and continuous quality improvement activities. Currently, they are the Administrative Director of Population Health at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

Rita Urbanek obtained a B.S in Economics and International Relations, with a focus on Economics, from Syracuse University in the years 2006 to 2010. Rita then pursued a Master's degree in Health Administration (M.H.A.) from Cornell University, from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (CSSGB) from ASQ - World Headquarters in September 2020, followed by the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt certification in April 2021.
