Andrew Buchmann

Andrew is a partner in the commodities team. He specialises in all aspects of international trade, including the sale of goods, carriage of goods by sea, trade finance and insurance, and dispute resolution.

Andrew is dual qualified as an English solicitor and South African attorney. He advises some of the world's largest trading companies on multi-jurisdictional issues across all commodities' sectors. He speaks regularly at conferences, training seminars and master classes nationally and internationally.

Andrew regularly advises clients in the execution of physical commodity contracts with a view to avoiding disputes or achieving early dispute resolution.

Andrew handles a large number of trade-related disputes in arbitration at the various commodity trade associations, as well as at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the ICC International Court of Arbitration, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), and in courts both in the UK and internationally.
