John B. has a diverse work experience history. John started their career at Hillcrest Family Services in 1999 as a Night Monitor/Youth Care Worker/Assistant Supervisor before moving on to become a Case Manager at Grant County Department of Social Services in 2003. In 2004, they returned to Hillcrest Family Services as a Chief Business Development Officer and eventually became the Vice President of Residential Operations. In 2014, they joined the United Methodist Association of Health & Welfare Ministries as an EAGLE Commission Reviewer and later became a Board Member. Since 2019, they have also served as a Board Member for the Coalition for Family and Children's Services of Iowa.
John B. completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the same institution from 2010 to 2011. Earlier in their education, John B. earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Criminal Justice from Loras College from 1997 to 1999.
