Cathy C. Lively has extensive work experience in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Cathy C. currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Hillenbrand since April 2021. Cathy C. began their career as a Graduate Assistant at Illinois State University from 1998 to 2000. Cathy C. Lively also worked as a Program and Brochure Editor at Cross Country Education from September 2000 to February 2009.

Cathy C. Lively obtained a BS degree in Family and Consumer Science from Eastern Illinois University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Cathy C. later pursued a MS degree in Family and Consumer Science from Illinois State University, studying from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Cathy has also obtained certifications such as Certified Diversity Professional from the National Diversity Council and has undergone training in V FAST Facilitator and V-Pilot through the Nissan V-up Team.
