Cathy C. Lively

Cathy C. Lively has extensive work experience in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Cathy C. currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Hillenbrand since April 2021. Prior to that, they were with Nissan Motor Corporation for several years, where they held various roles. From March 2018 to March 2021, they worked as the Manager of Diversity and Inclusion. From August 2014 to March 2018, they worked as a Senior Analyst of Diversity and Inclusion, where they managed external partnerships, led diversity and inclusion surveys, and served as the Program Manager for the U.S. Business Synergy Teams. From November 2012 to August 2014, they served as the President of the Gay Straight Alliance at Nissan (GSAN) Business Synergy Team. Cathy C. also worked as a PMO Analyst at Nissan from September 2011 to August 2014. Prior to their time at Nissan, they were a Nissan Contract Employee at Kelly Services from April 2010 to September 2011. Before that, they worked as an Operations Manager at Loan Alliance Networks from June 2009 to April 2010. Cathy C. began their career as a Graduate Assistant at Illinois State University from 1998 to 2000. Cathy C. Lively also worked as a Program and Brochure Editor at Cross Country Education from September 2000 to February 2009.

Cathy C. Lively obtained a BS degree in Family and Consumer Science from Eastern Illinois University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Cathy C. later pursued a MS degree in Family and Consumer Science from Illinois State University, studying from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Cathy has also obtained certifications such as Certified Diversity Professional from the National Diversity Council and has undergone training in V FAST Facilitator and V-Pilot through the Nissan V-up Team.
