Yang Wang MD, PhD

Yang Wang MD, PhD has had extensive experience in research and development in the biotechnology industry and academic institutions. Yang is currently the Vice President of R&D at HilleVax, and an Affiliated Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School, both starting in 2023. Previously, they held various roles at MassBiologics, including Deputy Director, Senior Director, Director, Associate Director, and R&D Scientist in Product Discovery from 2007 to 2023. Yang has also been a Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School since 2009, holding the positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and currently Professor, with a focus on immunology and infectious diseases.

Yang Wang MD, PhD earned an MD in Medicine from Tongji Medical University in 1998 and an MS in Immunology from Peking Union Medical College from 1998 to 2001. From 2002 to 2007, Yang Wang attended Tufts University School of Medicine where they earned a PhD in Genetics. Yang Wang went on to attend Harvard Medical School in 2007 to work as a postdoctoral fellow.
