Roger B. Butters, Ph.D., is an academic with extensive experience in economics education. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Hillsdale College since August 2014, Butters also holds the position of Professor at the Foundation for Teaching Economics since 2000. Prior to these roles, Butters was an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from June 2005 to August 2014 and served as President of the Nebraska Council on Economic Education during the same period. Additionally, Butters was an Adjunct Faculty member at Solano Community College from 2000 to August 2013. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis, obtained between 1996 and 2003, an MS in Managerial Economics from Brigham Young University from 1995 to 1996, and a BA in Economics with a focus on Portuguese from Brigham Young University, completed in 1994.
