Sergio Velarde

Sergio Velarde is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in lean management and quality control. Currently serving as Senior Global Lean Manager at Hilti Corporation since January 2006, Sergio drives lean initiatives across the global supply chain network and partners with leaders to support key business initiatives. Previously held roles include Global Lean Expert in Global Logistics, where responsibilities included developing lean standards and training teams, and Quality and Customer Care Manager, focusing on optimizing customer complaint resolution processes. Prior experience includes positions at Altadis - Régie des Tabacs as Manufacturing Quality Manager and Quality Engineer for the cigarette business, as well as Flexible Packaging Production Team Leader at Zepol Ltda. Sergio holds an Ingeniero Superior degree in Organización Industrial from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés and a Master’s degree in Total Quality Management from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
